Absa Bank Botswana Acting Chief Executive (“MD”) Dismissal and Appointment
Limited (“the Bank”)
The Board of Directors (“the Board”) of the Bank informs the shareholders that the CEO of the Bank, Ms. Keabetswe Pheko-Moshagane is on leave for a period of three months, from June 1, 2022 to August 31, 2022.
During his absence, the Bank’s Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Krishnan Menon will serve as Acting Managing Director. Krishnan has 22 years of experience in leadership positions in the financial services and technology industries, having worked in geographies including Asia, the Middle East, Europe and Africa. He joined the Bank in January 2020, having worked at Absa Group Limited, where he held various positions since 2008.
On behalf of the Bank’s management, employees and other stakeholders, the Board welcomes Krishnan to this role for the next three months and assures him of the necessary support.
